The BDR-101ABK will write and read single-layer BD-R (Blu-Ray disc recordable) and BD-RE (Blu-ray disc rewritable) discs, and read single-layer and dual-layer BD-ROM (Blu-ray read-only memory) discs.
High-speed writing is a significant benefit. The writer offers 2X speed writing for BD-R and BD-RE single layer media, 8X speed writing to DVD-R/+R, 4X writing to DVD-RW/+RW and 2X/2.4X writing respectively for DVD-R/+R DL (Dual / Double Layer) media types.
